YOU YU Studio is a film and art production company founded by artist and filmmaker Yu Shuk Pui Bobby, based between Oslo and Hong Kong in 2025. 

The studio develops and produces films, exhibitions, and cross-disciplinary projects that explore the delicate intersections between identity, memory, and collective healing.

YOU YU is both a name and a philosophy — “with Yu” or “to be with surplus (余)” — reflecting an approach to creation grounded in care, collaboration, and poetic reflection. The studio acts as a bridge between art and cinema, producing works that move fluidly between fiction and reality, the personal and the political.

Our productions begins with intimate research — rooted in lived experience, dialogue, and emotional truth — and grows through collaboration across cultures and disciplines.

YOU YU Studio believes that storytelling can be a form of healing, and that creative practice can build spaces of connection and transformation. Through each project, we aim to nurture stories that question, soothe, and reimagine how we live together.
